On March 19, the book Ancient Epigraphic Culture on the Aegean and Ionian Islands was published, featuring the article by Dr. Dominika Grzesik, The Epigraphic Curve on Delos: The Attic–Delian Dualism, and by Dr. Joanna Wegner, The Epigraphic Curve on Kos.
The volume is a collection of studies devoted to the epigraphic culture of the Aegean and Ionian islands—from the Archaic period to Late Antiquity. The authors examine sites such as Delos, Samos, Rhodes, and Crete, showing how inscriptions help reconstruct the political, social, and religious life of these communities.
Considerable attention is given to different types of inscriptions—from decrees and dedications to honorific texts—as well as to changes in their number and significance over time. This makes it possible to better understand the transformations taking place in these often less-studied regions of the Greek world.
