The famous sanctuary of Asklepios in Epidauros is one of the case-studies examine in our project. It has drawn a lot of attention of the research community, mostly due to its healing character and the cult of the god Asklepios. Despite its historical value, not much attention have been devoted by the scholars to the wealth epigraphic material preserved in Epidauros. This is precisely what our project is willing to achieve.
Dr. Dominika Grzesik, the PI of the Epi-Land project, visited Epidauros in May in order to do the preliminary research on the local topography and the inscriptions preserved in situ.
